    Great kitchen tools…how did I get along without them?

    These have been wonderful for flattening breakfast sausages and bacon and even a grilled cheese sandwich on sourdough bread. Haven’t made smashburgers yet but I will. Very glad to have these presses. High quality, easy to clean and use and look very nice. They came packaged well and quickly. I would recommend to anyone.

    A great set of cast iron presses for your burgers, steaks and bacon

    A nice set of cast iron tools for my Blackstone. I picked these up to help keep my bacon flat and crispy and my burgers and steaks pressed with grill lines.The burger press is great, but I found it’s best to add this press after the meat has cooked down, so you don’t run the risk of food getting stuck in the ridges. I tried to make a couple smash burgers with this press, and it wasn’t the success I had hoped for. Alternatively, if you cook the meat down first and then press them the outcome is brilliant.The bacon press does just what you would expect. I like the thick cut slices and this press helps to keep the edges from curling up and gives the entire slice a nice even heat and browning.They come pre-seasoned, but I always like to season my cast iron when new from a hard wash. I scrubbed these presses down and washed them completely and then proceeded to season them by using my oil blends and setting them on the Blackstone to heat up before reapplying additional oils. The set seasoned up great and has been a great cooking aid.The wood handles do heat up when you’re cooking on high, but I just keep a potholder handy and it’s all good.

    So far I have only used the square press on bacon & sausage links. I did like how the press kept the bacon nice n flat n not allowed it to curl up n pucker. The same for the sausage link, it kept them flat which allowed for even browning on both sides. The nonstick surface did its job well too, when I lifted the press neither the bacon nor the links stuck to it.

    Perfect smash burgers

    I love this press. It’s perfect. Weight is perfect. It would not stick and you can press as hard as you want. It is easy to clean as well.

    Great cast iron burger and bacon press!

    These are so heavy duty, and large – we use them with our Lodge cast iron pans, and they look like they belong as part of the set. They need to be taken care of similarly to the way you would a cast iron pan, although they don’t really need to be “seasoned”, but should get a coat of oil, and shouldn’t be put away wet. If you’re unfamiliar with cast iron cooking maybe this will help you to get interested.With a burger press you can avoid that strange bubbling in the center that always happens. Just make sure you press it down while it’s raw to set the shape, not after it’s been cooking, or you’ll lose juices. It’s also great for bacon, as it keeps it flat and full-length while it cooks. No more twisted up bacon!Now that it’s getting warmer I’m looking forward to testing these on the grill. Cast iron is great for grilling!These are a solid investment if you like to cook. I highly recommend!

    Very good, but must season

    This is a nice set. The presses are made of a heavy cast iron steel that works very nice. The tongs are a little cheap and hokey, but works to some degree. The presses are also the perfect size and hold up to the heat and torture of cooking.Mine came with some rust on them which is somewhat expected from cast iron. I was able to get the rust off and season the units. Now, they look great and work very well.I would recommend these presses.

    Heavy Cast Iron.

    These things are heavy. Great for getting a good sear in the pan or grill. The lines in the round one make making a smash burger difficult since twisting kinda tears a burger. A piece of parchment or wax paper makes it easier. So far, I’ve used these for sliced smoked sausage and pork chops. Great sear. I hand wash and towel dry due to the wood handle.
